Dinan is non-existant outside the US. I live pretty close to Munich and consider myself somewhat of a person who likes all things BMW, but I only learned about the existance of that shop on this site.

Well those folks are missing out! He had massive press in the 90's with the magazines in the states for his chips and other upgrades. Dinan's 850 twin turbo was the real deal.

That may be, but if these cars have been soooo gooood, why did they never venture into BMW's home turf and pit them against Alpina and Hartge?

Geographic reasons possibly. I know their work is warrantee'd by BWM corporate through the dealers here in the US. I think Alpina has the same deal in europe. So it could have something to do with that agreement.

Nope, Alpina cars are not registered as BMWs. Their titles say "Alpina" where it says "make". On the one hand, this is an honour for Alpina, but it also means that BMW is not taking any responsibility for these cars.

In an ideal world the guy in the car behind would have PIT-maneuvered the BMW, which would have rolled while the gun dude still had his arms out the window, thus crushing them against the pavement and tearing his hands off.
I live in Florida. I'm so fucking sick of guns everywhere all the time. Assholes.
